5C Round Collet

Today's Forkardt Hardinge 5C collet is the result of over 100 years of experience in serving the needs of the machining industry. The Forkardt Hardinge 5C collet is manufactured to exacting standards from special alloy steel. Threads are heat treated and the body is spring tempered to assure accuracy and durability at low cost. Forkardt Hardinge 5C Collets offer a through-capacity up to and including 1-1/16" round, 7/8" hexagon, and 3/4" square. The 5C collet includes precision internal threads for the Forkardt Hardinge threaded positive stops. Exceptions are .985" round and over, .844" hexagon and over, and .704" square and over. For most applications, the 5C-SC step collet will provide both internal threads and desired size (note: number and letter sizes do not have internal threads).
